Better Late than Ever (#1)

I've rewritten this way too many times because of nerves but I'm doing it finally!

First post! The goal of this blog is to document my progress and thoughts towards a portfolio, and a bunch of other things I want to explore (that may be random). My current website hasn't been updated since 2020, and I'd like that to change.

Why am I writing here in particular? I think sharing more of my thoughts on this more isolated platform may help me reflect on old and new practices, no matter how small the improvement. Plus, I'd like to avoid getting caught up in the scrolling habit, as I do enough of that already on other apps.

I don't know how often I'll post, but I definitely hope this won't be the only one.

To start off, I updated my profile picture! It definitely looks different than the last pic (2020)! If anything, I hope I can improve on color and lighting this year! I think I rushed because I was getting impatient on the amount of time I had spent on this piece--definitely most of it on the sketch/linework.
